Empire Petroleum secured a unanimous and favorable ruling from the New Mexico Oil Conservation Commission regarding its rights to the Residual Oil Zone in the Eunice Monument South Unit in Lea County, New Mexico.
The Commission affirmed Empire's exclusive rights to produce the ROZ under the 1984 Commission Order and granted the opportunity to implement a CO2 enhanced oil recovery pilot project.
After four years of expenditures, Empire received the Commission's decision at a public hearing on August 14, 2025.
